Welcome
The aim of the Music Department is to promote a love for making music throughout the school. Music is offered at both Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle. Three key elements of music are; listening, composing and performing. Students play an instruments or sing for both Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle.
Numerous trips to the National Concert Hall and the Bord Gais Theatre happen throughout the year, giving students the opportunity to experience music live and in real time.
There are many opportunities for students to participate in extra-curricular activities in music. The traditional Irish Music group and the choir have performed in local areas and school activities on many occasions. In the past number of years we have completed musicals with the Transition Year group and additions from the student cohort. Musicals to date are; Grease, 9 to 5, All shook up and Guys & Dolls.
