11 Leaving Certificate 6th year students completed the application process to enter the annual Croi Laighean Credit Union 'Pat Jones' Bursary competition. 3 candidates were chosen from St. Farnan's to go through to the next stage of the competition against schools from Edenderry, Clane and Leixlip. Last year, our own Suzanne Carew was the overall winner of the bursary.
Maka Nyamadzawo, John Gray, Shannon Keane, Faith Agbele, Zoe Percival, Nicole Campbell, Aine Dwyer, Ronan Roche, Alex Lee, Lauren Butler & Charlotte O'Mahony all completed the application form.
Maka Nyamadzawo, Zoe Percival and Charlotte O'Mahony were the initial stage school winners and these fantastic young ladies will now have to present a video application for the final award which is a very hefty grant available towards college fees for next year. Best of luck in the finals. All finalists also receive a monetary bursary even if they do not win overall.
All students were presented with a lovely Easter Egg for their efforts from the school. Thanks to Mr Kenna, organiser, Ms Bourke, 6th year Year Head, Mr Cleary and Mr Purcell for collaborating with the local Credit Union to facilitate this worthwhile project in St. Farnan's.
