We were delighted to host Dr. Ciarán Mac an Bhaird from the Maths Department in Maynooth University as a guest speaker during our Maths Week celebrations.
He spoke with our senior cycle students and showed how the Theorem of Pythagoras was discovered, discussed some of the early history of Maths and explained how big numbers can be multiplied.
