Currently St. Farnan's PPS is oversubscribed. We are at maximum student capacity for our school for 2023-2024. In conjunction with the Department of Education and our patron, KWETB, we took in an extra 1st year class for this year and are now awaiting additional temporary accommodation (prefab classrooms) which will be delivered after Christmas.
If your child is currently on our waiting list for 1st year or on our transfer waiting lists for all other year groups and currently does not have any school space, please see the document (Circular 0031/2023) that the Department of Education published recently regarding students without a school space and grants available for home tuition. If your child is on any of our waiting lists and has recently received a placement in any school which you have accepted, I would urge you to get in contact with St. Farnan's by email (info@stfarnans.ie) and withdraw your child from our waiting list. No parent/guardian can hold more than one confirmed school space for each child. St Farnan's has worked closely with other local schools to try to manage our waiting lists as best as possible.
We understand the stress and pressure that many parents and their children in this situation are under currently and hope that all students will get a placement in any appropriate school as soon as possible. St. Farnan's will be in contact with all parents/guardians on our waiting lists in early September again with any relevant further information and updates.
