The 38 5th year students selected to participate in the Skills@Work Programme this year travelled to the Irish headquarters of our partner company, SAP Ireland, in Citywest on October 24th 2018.
The 'Day in the Life' visit allowed students to meet with a number of people from across the company, to learn about their career paths, their daily work routines and the many opportunities that working for SAP affords them. The employees from SAP were also very generous in their advice for our students in terms of planning and preparing them for the next step in their education.
All students also took part in a tour of the SAP campus where as well as seeing their very modern and collaborative work spaces, they also met with managers and staff from the Facilities and IT departments. The highlight for many was definitely meeting Pepper - a robot being trained in IT support!
Our next module in the Skills@Work programme is a workshop on CV and Interview preparation in the school on November 19th which will be faciliated by HR experts from SAP Ireland.
