Congratulations to over 150 of our wonderful students who received awards and trophies for their consistent efforts to excel in the many different subject areas throughout the school year 2022-2023.
We also welcomed back many of our past students who have just completed their Leaving Certificate so successfully and it was lovely to catch up on their current progress.
Mr Purcell’s ‘short’ speech questioned the rationale behind having an Awards Ceremony and answered it himself! Our Ethos pillars of Respect, Care, Equality and Community are so important and valuable in society and that is why we do all we do in St Farnan’s to promote them at every opportunity, but equal to all these are Excellence in Education and the self-pride, the sense of achievement and the lifelong learning that is bestowed on students that deserve and receive an award.
