Before we start the new academic year, three big thank yous from R26.

We firstly wish to thank Rita Walsh from Kildare Down Syndrome Ireland for all of the amazing 'hands-on' learning sessions we have been able to avail of at their wonderful Donadea Polytunnel.  The pictures show just a glimpse of the incredible joy it has been working with Rita.  Check out the tadpoles growing legs and the hens giving us fresh eggs.  Rita has had abundant patience, kindness, dedication and has supported R26 in so many ways, not just at Donadea, but with her willingness to help others and to give of her time.  We hope you enjoy the retirement you deserve and we also hope to see you say hello to us as we continue on your legacy in the outside peaceful environment of An Garraí Beag.

A second thank you goes to Garda John Dunne for driving our R26 students to both the Polytunnel in Donadea and for a second trip for a day out in Dublin Zoo.  The excitement of travelling in the Garda Community Bus was second to none, as the photo testifies.  Thank you John for your interest and support for our students and for your impeccable driving skills.

Finally, and by no means least, a massive thank you to the 25 Card Club in Clane who have regularly supported us with funding.  We want you to know how deeply we appreciate your help.

Here's to the new term ahead ..............
