facilities, a broad curriculum, dedicated staff and is committed to
quality and equality in education.
High Expectation
The school aspires to provide high quality education in a caring
environment that optimises the potential of every student.
Subjects
The school provides a broad range of subjects in the curriculum.
School and Class Size
St. Farnan's is a medium sized school, having less than 400 students.
This has many advantages. A major advantage is class sizes are small.
Good Discipline
The school code of behaviour is drawn in the main from the Dept. of
Education guidelines. This code is operated by a system of Class
Tutors and Year Heads in conjunction with the Principal and Deputy
Principal. The code seeks to recognise the rights and
responsibilities of students, parents/guardians, teachers and
managers. Please Note Junior Cycle pupils will not be permitted to
leave the school at lunchtime.
Parental Involvement
Parents/Guardians have a crucial role to play in the effective
development and education of their teenage children. The P/G
Association gives parents/guardians an opportunity to voice their
opinions and ideas.
